Scrubbed and Polished

Giveaway closed. Congratulations to Vanessa from Style and Shenanigans!

Summer for me is the season of dresses, parties, bare skin, spray tans and cocktails.

Happily, there have been plenty of all of these things so far and hopefully there’ll be plenty more to come (especially cocktails).

Late last year and just in time for my pre-Christmas spray tan, I was sent the entire collection of natural scrubs by the Australian brand Babe Scrub to try.

There are 3 scrubs in the range: Coffee, Green Tea and Himalayan Pink Salt.

BabeScrubs

This is how I used them…

I used the Himalayan Pink Salt scrub prior to my spray tan. It left me with a smooth blank canvas ready to magically morph from lily white to chocolate brown. It can also be used post gym workout to soothe tired muscles. Bonus points for it being pink salt, not just regular boring white salt.

Next I tried the Green Tea scrub to remove said spray tan. I’ll admit I freaked out a bit as my skin turned green, but this quickly subsided as it washed away down the drain and I was left with refreshed, super soft skin. Still trying to work out why I had a sudden craving for sushi immediately after.

Finally on a day where I was feeling rather flat and, for want of a better word, ‘meh’ I used the Coffee scrub. The combination of a relaxing warm shower and the intoxicating smell of freshly ground, virgin coffee turned my frown upside down. Side note: also gave me the same sort of buzz I get after a nice strong skinny latte.

I absolutely love these scrubs. Not only are they jam packed with all natural ingredients, they give good scrub whilst still being quite gentle. The end result is always glowing, lovely, smooth skin.

Now here’s the (really) exciting part…

Hmm this is hard. To pick something that’s soothing, cleansing or perk you up. I think I’d have to go with the coffee scrub simply because I love the scent of coffee plus, school is starting soon so I would need a perk me up in the morning to be able to go go go!

I would pick the coffee scrub as it can help reduce stretch marks and cellulite…. Who wouldn’t like help with that!

I’d love the Himalayan salt Scrub, I’m 5 months pregnant and I’ve had a salt scrub before and it makes you feel amazing. Im sure they are all equally as awesome.

i’VE HAD THE SALT ONES BEFORE, AND I’D PREFER TO DRINK COFFEE. i THINK THE GREEN TEA ONE SOUNDS DIFFERENT (WHY NOT SPOIL YOURSELF WITH SUSHI AFTERWARDS?).

Himalayan Pink Salt Scrub for me. I am a big fan of the fake tan and would love to try the pink salt scrub to see if it can remove all the dry and crusty skin that is still tinged with my old tan before l lathered myself again in the soft golden glow of a fake tan.

They all sound amazing. I am recovering from a double knee replacement just before Xmas so feeling a bit ‘meh’ some days. Coffee one sounds perfect. Many thanks :-)

Im in desperate need of a pamper, being pregnant and terribly ill with morning sickness I need some TLC, I would choose the coffee scrub as a baby friendly treat…

Himalayan pink salt. No, coffee. PINK SALT – that’s the one I want. Because I do like the idea of salty scrubs actually being salt and I have not had one that has one me over in ages. This looks GOOD.

As a mum of three aged 9 and under
“Me” time is rare, is it any wonder?!
So, coffee is the one that I would choose
It sounds so much better than the scrub that I use
It could pick me up and boost my skin
Sounds so good, I hope I win!!

All of these scrubs sound amazing! They are a great way to wash away the last little remains of 2013 & kick off 2014 refreshed & all shiny & new! The green tea scrub sounds particularly lovely & refreshing ( writing this as I’m sipping on a cup of green tea..)
