6 Stylish Tops and Jackets for Winter

This is a sponsored post for Blue Bungalow

The temperature here in South Australia has plummeted faster than the weight of a Hollywood actress before awards season.

It’s cold. Like really cold. Icy even.

Which means one thing when it comes to fashion: layers.

Gorgeous fabrics and lovely textures you can layer up to keep yourself feeling warm and looking stylish.

Now, a Queensland based online store might be the last place you’d think would have tops, jackets and knits fit for a cold winter’s day, but the peeps at Blue Bungalow are clever cookies – they’ve got just about every version of winter fashion covered all in the one place.

So I figured it was the right time to share some of my favourite wintery picks from Blue Bungalow that I think will not only keep us toasty through the next few months but also looking cool in the sunny spring days ahead.

1. Chartreuse Jersey Tunic Top, $45
I’m a huge fan of chartreuse. I liken it to a cool, edgy version of yellow. It’s also a huge colour for winter and spring, so hop on it…or in it, rather. Chartreuse can look good on blondes and brunettes alike, so it’s worth trying on to see if it suits your skintone. This loose fit top is the perfect winter staple that can be worn with jeans or faux leather leggings and could easily be taken from day to night.

2. Plain Jane Batwing Top, $49
I think grey is a lovely, soft alternative to black (as I mentioned in this post) and looks awesome when paired with denim. This superfine knit top would be a great wardrobe addition and an easy go-to item for any day of the week. Think jeans, scarf and ballet flats for the school run or coffee with girlfriends.

3. Striped Tunic Top with Faux Leather Trim, $49
I’ve fallen madly in love with this top. I think it would look awesome with distressed denim, a mustard knit cardigan and some Converse sneakers – a really cool weekend casual outfit. I also love the unexpected addition of the faux leather trim. Adding to cart!

4. Striped Jacket, $79
You really didn’t think one striped piece would be enough, did you? No? Good! This jacket is an easy throw-on-and-go piece that adds a little bit of warmth and a lot of style to any outfit. Perfect with jeans and a top or over a dress. I love the nautical ‘rope’ style stripes and gold and pearl buttons. Ahoy there cutie!

5. Star Collared Cardigan, $65
I have this cardi (previously worn in this post) and I’ve been wearing it quite a bit lately. It’s super warm and flattering with its fitted arms, asymmetrical hem and cool print. I think it looks especially gorgeous styled with a black top and black faux leather leggings – sexy but still comfy.

6. Denim Anorak, $105
The anorak is huge this winter and if you already own a khaki green version like I do (and wear it to death like I do!) then a denim anorak could be your next jacket purchase. This is another piece I think would look awesome with faux leather leggings and then add a loose white tee and some wedge sneakers for the perfect sport luxe look.

I love Blue Bungalow, in fact I was on there this week buying a couple of great pieces for my upcoming Bali holiday. Love all these picks. The standout for me is the chartreuse top – it doesn’t suit me unfortunately but I love it on others. You would totes rock this look S. X

Being a new ‘convert’ to the delights of the anorak – I’m eyeing-up that denim one for a casual Sunday look. But the classic bird in me loves the stripe jacket and plain Jane batwing! xx
