As women, we tend to think about – and shop for – everyone else before we even consider ourselves.
So it seems fitting that the final post in my Christmas gift guide series is dedicated to us, especially considering I’ve already covered Secret Santa Gift Ideas Under $30 and Christmas Gift Ideas for Men. Heck, I’ve even featured Christmas Gift Ideas for Dogs!
Well, today it’s our turn.
And I hope you’ll allow me to indulge a little in this post because this year – for me – it’s all about our house. And trying to complete our renovation. You see, I already know what I’ll be getting for Christmas – outdoor ceiling fans, champagne glasses and help from my fabulous parents-in-law to try and get our home closer to finished.
So if I could play make believe for a moment, here are some of the items I would love to find underneath my Christmas tree (and some items I already have and recommend)…
1. Charis Earrings from The Jewel Collective, $125
In Greek mythology, Charis, one of the Three Graces, was the goddess of adornment. Perfect for a special occasion but still understated enough for everyday wear, these white sapphire and oxidised sterling silver earrings are a beautiful and classic piece to give you that hint of sparkle whenever you need it.
2. Leather Fringe Hipster Bag from Anizoe, $139
As soon as I saw this bag, it was instant love! The gorgeous colour of the leather, the tassel detail that adds a cool boho vibe. Anizoe bags are always such good quality (not to mention affordable) and this bag would be perfect to sling over your shoulder during summer.
3. Turkey Flat Rosé*, $18
I enjoyed this very drop this past weekend. I’m no wine expert, so I can’t tell you that this wine features “the lifted palate of bright, primary fruits by placing rosey-cheeked Grenache in its starring role. The considered additions of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Dolcetto add tannin and intriguing elements of spice and herbaceousness that have come to be this wine’s hallmark” ...Turkey Flat can. What I can tell you is that it’s light, easy drinking, not too sweet and should be enjoyed with friends. Cheers!
4. Musq Rosewater Facial Mist*, $34.95
This soothing and balancing Rose Facial Mist came to my rescue while I was sick (thank you for sending it to me, Musq girls!). Does anyone else find their skin dries out and breaks out when they’re unwell? Yeah, me too. The mist is appropriate for use on all skin types and is enriched with natural ingredients. The Musq Rose Facial Mist is perfect for calming sensitive and irritated skin and will leave it feeling hydrated, balanced and refreshed. Add this little beauty to the beach bag for summer.
5. The Kari Necklace from The Adorn Collective*, $35
The gorgeous girls at The Adorn Collective recently sent me some more sparkly goodies, and this necklace was in my care package. It features black rope yarn on gold plated alloy and is nowhere near as heavy as you might think. A perfect piece that would give any outfit a cool, stylish edge. If you haven’t checked out The Adorn Collective yet, what are you waiting for? Their jewellery is beautiful, bang on trend and very budget friendly. Treat yourself!
6. Black Floral Slinky Gown from Peter Alexander, $89.95
I’m not much of a pyjama wearer. In fact, I don’t own a single set of PJs. I do however covet a gorgeous dressing gown I can throw over whatever it is I happened to wear to bed the night before. This slinky gown features a stunning vibrant floral print against the contrasting black and beautiful lace trim. A sure fire way to look uber glam while putting the bins out!
7. Siren Shoes ‘Lara’ Heels from Styletread*^, 149.95
These. Heels. Are. Everything! I was sent these babies by the kind folk at Styletread and oh my goodness – I’m in love. Featuring a very sensible heel height, they are super comfortable but still incredibly sexy and stylish. I recently wore them in Melbourne with a printed dress and I plan to next wear them to my work Christmas lunch next Friday, so stay tuned. A must have for all the other leopard lovers out there.
