Have you seen it?
It’s been popping up everywhere and everyone’s doing it.
The Little White Sneaker.
From high fashion to high street, everyone everywhere seems to have embraced the style, comfort and practicality of a white sneaker.
There are plenty of styles and price points available – from budget-friendly to break-the-bank – so it’s no surprise that it can be completely overwhelming and virtually impossible to pick your perfect pair.
Which is why I’m thrilled to be able to share with you MY favourite pair, introduced to me by the fabulous Lucy and Kelly of Primp Style Co.
Say hello to your new fave sidekick… Dixie!
Made from the softest leather you ever did feel, the Dixie kicks also have a supportive and cushioned footbed, which means you can wear them all day long. The design is simple and understated, which means they complement rather than compete with any outfit you pair them with. And the price tag ($129) is one I think you’ll agree is pretty darn good with for the quality of shoe. (Also – the ladies offer Afterpay. HELLO!)
As for how to wear them?
I have two favourite ways I want to show you.
First up: with a dress.
Take your favourite frock – be it short or long – and style with a pair of white sneakers. All of a sudden, you’ve added an edgy cool vibe to a classically feminine look. And, if the weather’s cool, add a denim jacket over the top. It’s as easy as that!
For this look, I’m wearing the Clementine Dress from Primp Style Co. It has a subtle yet pretty floral print in a floaty, easy wear style, with button down front and midi length. The generous fit and flattering cut mean that this style will suit pretty much anyone – including those with baby bumps and breastfeeding mamas! This is the black and it also comes in blush pink and is available in sizes 6-14 (note: sizing is generous).
Don’t you think the kicks give the dress a fresh and modern feel?
Second look: comfy and casual.
While my usual uniform is jeans and a cami, I’m also quite partial to a flattering soft pant.
The Piper Pants from Primp Style Co are ridiculously soft and feature just the right amount of stretch. They have a very subtle drop crotch, 7/8 length and elasticised waist. Piper comes in peach leopard (like I’m wearing) and also snow leopard and is available in sizes XS-XL.
I’ve paired the pants with quite possibly one of the best cut t-shirts I’ve ever worn: the Reece Scoop Back Tee. It has a scoop, raw hem and is shorter at the front and longer at the back (but not too long). It’s also fitted through the body without being too tight. Basically, it’s awesome and I’ll be adding the grey to my collection, too. Reece comes in sizes XS-L.
Again, if it’s cool, add a denim jacket to this look or an anorak or puffer jacket.
