What Sonia Wore: Men of Style Event

What does one wear to an event where one is judging South Australia’s most stylish men?

Stuffed if I know, but this is what I went with…

Inspired by Rachel of Redcliffe Style, I wore my Bohemian Traders Dreamer Dress (if you haven’t bought this dress yet – why the heck not!) as a top by belting it and – as I like to call it – hoicking it up over a tank and black faux leather leggings.

I figured, all black is stylish and sophisticated and the blousiness of the dress meant I could indulge in as many canapes as I liked.

Win. Win!

It was a fabulous afternoon at Pirie & Co Social Club. The Sangria was flowing, the food was delish, the bartenders were exceptionally good looking and there were some seriously fabulous items up for auction, with all proceeds going towards an incredible local charity called Kickstart for Kids which provides breakfast, lunch and other essential services to underprivileged children.

With a few Sangrias under my belt, I was swept up in the excitement of the auction and ended up bidding on and winning a fantastic prize – a 2 hour personal styling session with superstar Adelaide stylist, Lauren Dilena. I love her style and can’t wait to pick her fashionable brain while we shop up a storm!

{Bonus tip: Adeladies – head over to Lauren’s website. She gives away one free 2 hour styling session every month to a worthy winner!}

I celebrated my win in true #soniastylinghappyhour style with some champers shared with fabulous ladies and toddled off with my bumper goodie bag at the end of a very good Friday afternoon.

      And that’s why I love being a blogger – Mr SS has no idea if the parcels that get delivered are something I’ve purchased or something I’ve been sent!
