The year that was: 2018

Wow.

As the end of this year comes hurtling toward us, I thought I would steal a quiet moment amongst the chaos of the silly season to write a little note to you. And me.

To recap 2018 and share all that it has meant to me and the impact it has had on me.

What. A. Year!

Not only did it speed past at an epic rate, but it was also chock-a-block full. Of lessons. Experiences. Highs. Lows. Achievements. Memories.

So much happened this year, but if I want to record anything to remember – and this little blog of mine is basically my online journal – it’s that I put in so much work for ME.

I dug deep. I faced demons and fears head-on. Took them on. Won.

I unpacked emotional baggage that had been zipped up for far too long and dealt with every single item.

I discovered what brings me joy and delights me, and I have been making myself available for that. On the flip side, I’ve also set strong boundaries and made myself unavailable for that which does not light me up. And man, does that feel good!

I’ve reviewed the way I run my business. The services I offer. The way I deliver them. The value that I bring. This part still feels like a work in progress, but I know I’m on the right track.

Through all of this self-work, I now see things so much more clearly. Like a fog has lifted. A weight has lifted. Blinkers off.

I’m now 100% unashamedly heart-led. The head still has its place, but the heart speaks first.

I’m tapping into my intuition. Really hearing it, listening to it and acting on it.

I’m a “crazy crystals lady” and proud of it!

I’ve found a place to look after myself physically – through naturopathy, osteopathy and exercise. {FINALLY! An exercise routine I enjoy and actually stick to!}

I’ve rediscovered my love of reading. Meditation. Learning. Growing. And spending time with people who are kind, positive and build me up.

I’m grateful for my life. For my family. For my friends. For my business. For it all.

And so, I come back to this little blog of mine.

With a new year comes new ways of doing things. New priorities.

I want to come back to the heart of this blog. The reason I started it in the first place: to have a creative outlet. A place to share my thoughts, feelings, experiences and the things I love.

This blog has never been and will probably never be the biggest or the best out there, but it’s mine.

So in 2019, I pledge to make more time to write. To share my stories. My life.

Here.

To finish…

2018 has been a HUGE year. For everyone.

I hope when you take stock of it all, you can say it was a good one.

Because I know that 2019 is going to be GREAT!

Merry Christmas, everyone.
